Lilac Bloom

This time I would like to share one of my own designs with you. As I mentioned before my mum used to have a fashion boutique and I have been inspired by her work to occasionally try to create something by my own. In a fabric shop I came across gorgeous colour linen which I instantly fell in love with and I felt that I must have it.
Light, elegant yet with a natural feel to it, linen is perfect for hot summer days. It is a cool, crisp fabric which lets your skin breath, doesn’t constrain your movements making you feel so comfortable.
I picked pastel lilac colour which beautifully compliments the texture of the fabric. Some people are not so keen on wearing linen clothes because they crease easily and remain crumpled after ironing. But I actually feel that distinctive rumpled look is a unique to this fabric and doesn’t ruin the overall look.
Talking about summer what can be better than a dress! I chose a very simple design making the fabric and the colour the main focus. The fact that this dress is very plain makes it very versatile. Leather sandals with buckle detailing, belt and a statement bag can add elegance to a look and create a perfect outfit for a hot summer day in the city!
